Things to know:
The union representing College faculty at Humber has called for a strike vote in mid-October. While it doesn't mean students will have to cope with the fallout from a job action yet, it is a sign of a gap in negotiations between the College Employer Council (CEC) and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU), which represents faculty at 24 colleges.
Lakeshore campus students are being warned in advance of closures as Humber starts setting up for Nuit Blanche next weekend. Students will start to see outdoor art projects being installed on Wednesday, with more closures taking place starting Friday afternoon and lasting through the weekend?
Are you planning to take part in Nuit Blanche? Let us know by voting in our poll on our website.
It's a gold star for Humber for carbon neutrality. An organization that measures sustainability efforts in post-secondary schools awarded the Polytechnic a gold STARS ranking. One reason for the award is the recently opened Humber Cultural Hub on the Lakeshore campus, which is completely carbon-neutral.
