The Faculty of Media, Creative Arts & Design is pleased to announce the first exhibition of the 2026-2027 season in L-Space Gallery.
The Brink gathers us at a fragile moment defined by instability and monumental change. To dwell here is to question time itself, reckoning with the histories we inherit, the precarious present, and the unwritten future. Yet hope surfaces when we dare to challenge the systems that are failing us. Alight with liminal energies, this collection gives form and voice to our era and makes space for quiet contemplation on the values that may steady us in the days ahead. The exhibition features artists from Humber Polytechnic’s Faculty of Media, Creative Arts, and Design, including: Lauren Cheong, Marc Colangelo, Shaney Herrmann, Noni Kaur, Charmaine Lurch, Wayne Salmon, Cole Swanson, Monica Whalley, Tobias Williams, Anne Zbitnew. This exhibition has been curated by Cole Swanson.
The Brink runs from September 29 to December 4, 2026.
All members of the Humber community and beyond are invited to attend the opening reception on Friday, October 2, from 5 to 7 p.m.
As an asset to FMCAD and Humber Polytechnic at large, L- Space Gallery is an accessible resource for educators and students who are encouraged to visit the exhibition. The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday, 12 to 4 p.m.. Access to the space beyond open hours can be arranged by request.
